The Electronic Design Studio Architectural Education in the Computer Era Edited by Malcolm McCullough, William J. Mitchell and Patrick Purcell For centuries architects have carried out shape computations by hand, using informal procedures and the simplest of tools. About the Editors Malcolm McCullough is Associate Professor of Architecture and Design at the University of Michigan. William J. Mitchell is the Alexander W. Dreyfoos, Jr. Professor of Architecture and Media Arts and Sciences and directs the Smart Cities research group at MIT's Media Lab. He was formerly Dean of the School of Architecture and Head of the Program in Media Arts and Sciences at MIT.
