Peter Lunenfeld is a professor in the graduate Media Design Program at Art Center College of Design. He is the founder of mediawork: The Southern California New Media Working Group, and director of the Institute for Technology & Aesthetics (ITA). His books include USER: InfoTechnoDemo (MIT Press, 2005) with visuals by Mieke Gerritzen, Snap to Grid: A User's Guide to Digital Arts, Media, and Culture (MIT Press, 2000), and The Digital Dialectic: New Essays on New Media (MIT Press, 1999).

As editorial director, he has high hopes that Mediawork Pamphlets will become theoretical fetish objects for the 21st century
