COMA Amsterdam/New York is Cornelia Blatter and Marcel Hermanns. COMA is an interdisciplinary art and design studio that maintains studios on two continents, with a reputation for doing some of the most innovative book design work in the field. They conceptualize, art direct, design, and produce work in various media from print to internet to environments. Recent projects include Phaidon' monograph on Hella Jongerius, the 2003 365: AIGA Year in Design, Architectural Laboratories: Greg Lynn & Hani Rashid for the Netherlands Architecture Institute, art direction and design for FRAME magazine, and the redesign of Index magazine. COMA has won multiple AIGA 50 books/50 covers awards, as well as an I.D. Design Review.
