Erik Loyer is a digital media artist whose works explore the intersection of narrative, music and interactivity. A video game aficionado who is equally comfortable writing code, poetry and music, Erik creates pieces that exhibit strong tactile qualities and a unique synergy. His award-winning 1998 Web site "The Lair of the Marrow Monkey" was one of the first to be added to the permanent collection of the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art. In 1999, Erik received a Rockefeller Media Fellowship to support the development of his episodic interactive narrative "Chroma," which has been exhibited across the Americas and won the 2002 Best Digital Creation award at the Montreal International Festival of New Cinema and New Media. Erik founded the information architecture division at the Los Angeles office of Razorfish, and recently developed interactive designs for the advertising agency Wieden+Kennedy.
