Requesting an examination or desk copy

For textbooks, you’ll find exam/desk copy request links in the left menu of a book’s web page. You will find these links below the book’s cover image on the lower left side of the book’s title page. Please follow the relevant link to our online request form.

Examination copies are offered in digital format only; desk copies are offered in digital (where available) and print formats.

Digital examination copies are available at the discretion of the MIT Press to qualified instructors of appropriate courses. We require complete course and affiliation details to consider a request. Some titles are not available for examination.

Desk copies are provided on a complimentary basis to professors who have already adopted a text for course use and placed an order with a university or local bookstore for the texts. Please indicate the name of the bookshop in your request.
