authors@mit event series returns to Cambridge this month
The MIT Press, the MIT Press Bookstore, and the MIT Libraries are delighted to announce the restart of the authors@mit series. authors@mit presents talks by authors of new MIT Press publications, featuring speakers and topics of particular interest to the MIT and Greater Cambridge communities. Each event will include a discussion with the author(s) and plenty of opportunity for questions from the audience. Copies of the book and engaging conversation will always be part of the plan.
This semester’s authors@mit series will include:
- Maia Weinstock, author of Carbon Queen: The Remarkable Life of Nanoscience Pioneer Mildred Dresselhaus (March 24, 4pm)
- Howard Gardner and Wendy Fischman, authors of The Real World of College: What Higher Education Is and What It Can Be (April 6, 5:30pm)
- Robert Buderi, author of Where Futures Converge: Kendall Square and the Making of a Global Innovation Hub (May 10, 5:30pm)
All of the events are open to members of the MIT community with Covid Pass and to the public with Tim Tickets. Click on the date for each event for more information and registration, which is required.
