Other Influences: A Feminist Avant-Garde Poetry Reading

October 10 @ 6:00 pm 7:45 pm

The Woodberry Poetry Room is honored to present an electrifying constellation of poets–Carla Harryman, Erica Hunt, Tracie Morris, Hoa Nguyen, Prageeta Sharma and Anne Tardos–coming together to honor their radical, visionary lineages and the forthcoming publication of OTHER INFLUENCES: An Untold History of Feminist Avant-Garde Poetry (MIT Press, 2024).

Poet and WPR guest curator KPrevallet will offer a short poetic invocation, followed by the anthology’s editors Marcella Durand and Jennifer Firestone who will introduce. Each author will share selections from their own work and that of a significant influence. Please join us as we gather at the Carpenter Center to commune, circulate, regenerate, and catalyze future collaborations at this challenging time in our world.

In-Person Attendance:  Carpenter Center for the Visual Arts,
Lower Level, 24 Quincy Street. Free and open to the public.

Online Attendance: Livestreaming available via the WPR YouTube Channel.
