Janice Audet, Editorial Director

A publishing professional with over twenty years of experience, Janice Audet has managed individuals, teams, and portfolios across trade, scholarly, and educational nonfiction publishing. She came to the MIT Press from Basic Books where she acquired smart nonfiction trade titles across the life sciences and psychology. As an Executive Editor for Science at Harvard University Press, she published Beronda Montgomery’s Lessons From Plants, Christina Maslach and Michael Leiter’s The Burnout Challenge, and Theresa Levitt’s Elixir.

In her role as Editorial Director, Janice is responsible for the overall acquisitions’ strategy and book program. She also acquires trade titles for general readership.
