Jürgen Habermas wins the Kluge Prize

Jürgen Habermas, one of the world’s most distinguished living philosophers and social critics, has been named co-winner of the John W. Kluge Prize for Achievement in the Study of Humanity. Habermas, Professor Emeritus at the University of Frankfurt and the author of many books – 17 of them published by us – will share the $1.5 million prize with the Canadian philosopher Charles Taylor, author of a bunch of books published by a press up the street from us. They will receive the award in Washington, D.C. on Sept. 29.

Congratulations, Professor Habermas!
