Zone / Near Futures

Reckoning with the epochal nature of the turn that capitalism has taken since the 1980s, Zone Books’ Near Futures series seeks to illuminate the manifold implications—the production of value and values, the missions or disorientations of social and political institutions, and the yearnings, reasoning, and conduct expected of individuals. Beyond taking stock of what neoliberal reforms and the dictates of finance have wrought, the series intends to chart the new conflicts and forms of activism and resistance elicited by the advent of our brave new world.
