The Bookstore’s new digital home allows readers to buy books online, learn about events, explore curated staff picks, and more
We are pleased to announce the launch of our new website for the MIT Press Bookstore at mitpressbookstore.mit.edu.
The brand-new, ADA-accessible website allows customers to buy books, sign up for the store newsletter, view staff picks and selected collections like the Essential Knowledge series and new MIT Press releases, and learn about upcoming events—all while enjoying gorgeous pictures of the recently-redesigned store space.

Academic and other professional customers can set up tax-exempt accounts and request bulk orders. And just like in the store, shoppers can discover new titles not only from MIT Press, but from other major trade and academic distributors. Stay tuned for exciting future plans for the website, including online ordering for Press-related merch (like our coveted tote bags) and the relaunch of our MIT Press Bookstore newsletter.
The MIT Press Bookstore has been a major part of MIT Press identity since its opening in 1980; in the forty years since, the Bookstore has become a hub for readers, MIT students and faculty, and Cambridge community members to explore, learn, and connect. We are thrilled to give it a proper digital home.
